Piper Anderson

Piper Anderson has spent the last fifteen years cultivating a creative practice at the intersections of the performing arts, cultural education, and social justice practice to generate creative strategies to end the criminalization of communities of color. She has collaborated with communities in over thirty US cities, Mexico, and Rwanda to devise local and national initiatives to creatively devise community based responses to racial and gender injustice.  In 2015, she founded Create Forward, a consultancy specializing in designing creative strategies for social change sourced from the radical collective imagination. She teaches courses on the intersections of the arts, community cultural development, and social change at NYU Gallatin, and CUNY’s graduate program in Applied Theatre.  For more information, visit her at www.piperanderson.com
