Ryan Bogner

Ryan Bogner is a New York City based theater producer and creative development consultant. Producing credits include: Kotis and Hollmann's YEAST NATION: the triumph of life (FRINGENYC '11 and continuing development) Hey, You Know What Movie Would Make a Good Musical? (Zipper Factory/Julia Miles Theater), the award winning Hurricane (NYMF '09 with Kellner-Avery Productions/Karen Mack) and Samuel Buggeln's Hater at the Ohio Theater (ICE Factory '10).

Prior to beginning his producing career, Ryan worked as an actor and made a foray into song-writing as a lyricist. He has worked in the Executive and Theater Operations departments at Jujamcyn Theaters, and in the Professional Licensing department at Theatrical Rights Worldwide, managing the accounts for major professional theaters at home and abroad. He has been a consultant on various developmental projects including the planning of programatic and audience development strategies for the new 550 seat Madison Theater on Long Island at Molloy College. His company, Hey, You Know What? Productions, is committed to developing new and progressive theatrical works, and encouraging and nurturing the careers of theater writers and composers at all levels.
Ryan is a graduate of the Commercial Theater Institute, holds a BFA in Musical Theater and Directing from Boston Conservatory, and is currently pursuing an MFA in Theatre Management and Producing at Columbia University. He is a regular contributor to the Arts and Pop Culture blog: Crazytown.
