Sarah Bartley

Sarah Bartley is an undergraduate student at NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study. She is concentrating her studies in audience psychology/history oriented towards playwriting and producing. Sarah is interested in looking at the evolution of audiences as well as the psychological dynamics at work in a theater space and how these components contribute to the kind of work made and the kind of work remembered. She is particularly invested in producing new work and exploring alternative models for development/production that break down the traditional barriers between artist, institution, and audience. Sarah was a Producer for the 2012 Gallatin Arts Festival, a weeklong arts festival celebrating Gallatin student work and artists. She will again join the festival as a Producer in 2013. Since moving to NYC, Sarah has interned/worked in various capacities with Manhattan Theatre Club, The Public Theater, Ars Nova, Make Music New York, among others. Sarah is currently working on her second full-length play.
