Sarah Gubbins

Sarah Gubbins is a Chicago playwright. Her plays include Fair Use, In Loco Parentis, The Water Play, The Kid Thing (Edgerton Foundation New American Play Award), fml: how Carson McCullers saved my life and I am Bradley Manning. Her plays have been produced at the Steppenwolf Theatre, Actor's Express, Next Theater, About Face Theater and Chicago Dramatists. Her plays have been developed at the Public Theater, New York Theater Workshop, The Goodman Theatre, and The Playwrights' Center of Minneapolis among others. Sarah is a 2011-2012 Jerome Fellow. She holds a MFA in Writing for the Screen and Stage from Northwestern University.
