Sarah Rasmussen

Sarah Rasmussen is in her fourth season as Artistic Director at the Jungle Theater in Minneapolis. She was recently chosen as Star Tribune's Artist of the Year. In 2017, she joined the first cohort of the BOLD Women's Leadership Circle. Rasmussen has directed numerous plays around the country at theaters including Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Guthrie, Dallas Theater Center, and La Jolla Playhouse. She is the recipient of the Princess Grace Award, an Ivey Award for Overall Excellence, Drama League, and Fulbright fellowships. Alum of SoHo Rep and Women's Project Labs. Prior to coming to the Jungle, she was the Resident Director for Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Black Swan Lab new work development program and Head of MFA Directing at the University of Texas at Austin. She holds an MFA from the University of California, San Diego. She lives in Minneapolis with her family.
