Stephanie Timm

Stephanie Timm is company playwright for New Century Theatre Company, a member of the Seattle Rep Writer's Group, and recently finished a year-long residency with ACT Theatre. She adapted The Ramayana along with ACT's affiliate artist working group for their ACT's 2012-13 production season. Her play Sweet Nothing will be produced by Macha Monkey in June, directed by Laurel Pilar Garcia. Sweet Nothing was previously developed as part of Playwrights Week at Lark New Play Development Center, and also at the Kennedy Center. She was commissioned by 5th Avenue Musical Theatre to write Rosie the Riveter! with composer Albert Evans. She was nominated for a Gregory Award for New Century Theatre Company's premiere of On the Nature of Dust, which was developed at Icicle Creek Theatre Festival and also Portland Center Stage's JAW West Festival. Her play Crumbs Are Also Bread was published in the Rain City Projects Manifesto Series, edited by Steven Dietz. Stephanie also teaches at Cornish College of the Arts, ACT Theatre, and writes for video games.
