Stephanie van Niekerk was the owner and director (administrative, technical and artistic) of the Method Actors’ Training Centre (a private, professional acting school for adults) in Pretoria, South Africa for twenty-six years. She taught language, communication skills and text analysis in Afrikaans and English; Method acting; voice development and group theatre (including relaxation techniques, acting skills, performance techniques, improvisation skills, theatre games and directing). She has written six original plays for the stage, has done a number of translations of English plays into Afrikaans and has directed forty-five stage productions as well as two radio plays. She has extensive experience in script writing, translations and editing.
