A theatre artist by training—with over three dozen productions as a director, designer, or performer—since 2005 Wier Harman has been Executive Director of Town Hall Seattle, a community cultural center presenting cultural, science, and civic programs. Previous posts include Executive Director of The Foundry Theatre (New York City); Artistic Director of Actor’s Express (Atlanta); and programming posts at Arts & Ideas New Haven and the Howl! Festival. Wier is a trustee of NPR affiliate KUOW and 1/3 of the softly rocking cover band Sweet Surrender. Even so, Seattle Metropolitan Magazine recently named him one of “15 People Who Should Really Run Seattle.”
