Zoe Lafferty is a director, writer, and producer whose work intersects with activism, civil disobedience, politics, and community organising.

Zoe Lafferty is a director, writer, and producer whose work intersects with activism, civil disobedience, politics, and community organising.

Zoe’s creative journey has taken her from the UK, to Palestine, Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, Lebanon, Chile, Jordan, Japan, Pakistan, the USA, Ukraine, and across Europe. Her theatre productions have toured over 40 stages in the UK and 20 countries worldwide, including renowned venues such as the Schaubühne Berlin, Skirball New York, and the Young Vic London.

Alongside theatre, she has worked in site-specific creations, documentary, audio, new technologies and virtual reality, recently winning The Stage Digital Award for With Fire and Rage created in collaboration with Parade-Fest.

Zoe worked for fifteen years at The Freedom Theatre in Jenin Refugee Camp, Palestine. She was an Associate Artistic Director and part of the leadership team when the theatre was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

She is the founder of Artists On The Frontline, a creative force for radical artists using culture as a form of resistance  www.artistsonthefrontline.com
