StageSource in Boston presented the 2018 Town Hall on gender parity and opportunities for Deaf theatre livestreamed on the global, commons-based peer produced HowlRound TV network at howlround.tv Tuesday 15 May 2018 at 6:30 p.m. EDT (Boston, UTC -4) / 3:30 p.m. PDT (Los Angeles, UTC -7).
StageSource will update the community on the progress being made on the Statement of Purpose work which began at the 2017 Conference. Topics will include the A11Y Initiative (working to increase access and opportunity for Deaf artists and audiences), The Gender Parity Task Force, and the launch of the new Gender Explosion Initiative (working to make our community a welcoming and supportive one for people of all gender identities.)
We will also discuss the beginning of our work, along with several partners, to address the issue of harassment in the performing arts sector.
