Guests in the Freedom Talks series are highly knowledgeable and prolific actors in the global Arts Rights Justice sector, fighting for artistic freedom.

Since the start of the pandemic last year, Asian Americans have faced constant and deadly racist violence. “Stop AAPI Hate,” a reporting database, received 3,795 reports of anti-Asian-American discrimination between March 19, 2020, and Feb. 28, 2021; women reported hate incidents at 2.3 times the rate of men. The LA Writers Center asked "what can we do?" We think by telling more Asian American stories, we can affirm that this community is a vital part of the American narrative. With this in mind, we are launching the "Home: Asian Voices Reading Series".

Independent Theater Hungary in partnership with HowlRound Theatre Commons presented the Roma Theatre Retrospective 2021 which included forty livestreams of twenty shows and twenty interviews from Romani artists in ten countries who were featured during four editions of the Roma Heroes International Theater Festival, Budapest. Livestreamed on the commons-based peer produced HowlRound TV network Tuesday 19 October to Friday 10 December 2021.

This series of seven episodes will focus on art management as it concerns Africa's performing art and cultural sector. This subject is under-discussed on the continent, and there exists a variety of experiences, exposures, and practices that, if shared, might support the sector. Specifically, this series will focus on the administration of arts and culture organizations, including marketing, fundraising, and policy in Africa.
