Aganza Kisaka

Aganza Kisaka is the president for International Theatre Institute Uganda Centre. She is an award-winning Actress and exceptional theatre educator, director and producer. 

Aganza Kisaka is a Ugandan award-winning actress and poet. She is a playwright whose works have been featured at the Kampala International Theatre Festival, Lagos Theatre Festival, and the Berlin Biennale. She is a theatre producer dedicated to excellence and a keen eye for detail. This can be seen in her produced work, such as the Betrothal by Joshua Mmali, Red Hills by Asiimwe Debora Kawe. Co-producer for the Kampala International Theatre Festival and the Outstanding Kampala debut of the Broadway musical production “She Loves Me”. 

She is passionate about performing arts education and has helped train and transform actors from novice to exceptional performers. Aganza is the visionary founder and Director of Yenze Theatre Conservatoire (YTC), which is a home for artists to hone their craft alongside professionals. Aganza also serves as the President for the International Theatre Institute Uganda Centre, dedicated to creating networks and opportunities for artists. She is a proud fellow of Georgetown University Lab for Global Performance and Politics and hopes that through storytelling, she can learn more about the creator and his creation.
