Alex Hare is a director of new musicals and music-based theatre. In development: A Burning Church, a musical tracing the recent history of an Alabama church over the last thirty years (New Ohio; co-director with Zhailon Levingston); Walt Whitman BodyJolt, a play/fitness class (Barn Arts Collective); andYou Can’t Kiss a Movie, a film/theatre hybrid inspired by the French New Wave (HERE). Alex is the associate artistic director of Corkscrew Theater Festival, a summer festival for early-career artists. Assistant credits: School of Rock (Broadway), Side Show (Broadway, Kennedy Center), The Yacoubian Building (in development).
