Alvin Chan

Alvin Chan is an actor, playwright, and director in Honolulu, Hawaii. After completing his studies in theatre at the University of Hawaii Manoa, he moved to New York City where he worked as an actor for three years. In 2010, he received the Fox Resident Actor Fellowship from Theatre Communications Group on behalf of the Honolulu Theatre For Youth. This allowed him to study traditional theatre and dance forms in China and Japan for a year, before returning to Hawaii to help build HTY’s 2011 season which included the play Anime Momotaro, that recently had a run at Imagination Stage in 2013. Alvin currently works as a company member for HTY.
