Branden Huldeen

Branden Huldeen joined the National Alliance for Musical Theatre in February of 2008 as their New Works Director and the Festival Producing Director. He produces the Festival of New Musicals, New Works Summits and Writers Roundtables; manages the National Fund for New Musicals and Writers Residency Grants; and oversees all of the New Works and Festival programs for NAMT.  Prior to NAMT, Branden was Education Associate at Theatre Development Fund, Associate Editor of Play by Play Theatre Magazine By and For Teens and House Manager at the Vineyard Theatre.  From 2001 until 2008, Branden was part of the New Plays for Young Audiences Series at NYU in various positions including producer of the 2008 season.  In the fall of 2006, he was the Associate Producer of Kingdom (Audience Favorite Award) at NYMF.  Branden was the Line Producer for Ian August's Missing Celia Rose (2007) and Alena Smith's The Sacrifices (2009) for the Summer Play Festival, and Associate Producer and General Manager for Maccabeat! at NYMF (2007). He is a graduate of the Commercial Theatre Institute's 3-day program, and a member of Old Vic New Voices Network and the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas.  He received a B.S. in Educational Theatre and a M.A. in Performing Arts Administration (Kurtz Scholarship Award Recipient for Excellence in Performing Arts Administration), both from New York University, where he also worked as the Associate Production Manager and worked on over 50 productions. He is also a freelance dramaturg specializing in new musicals and plays, and adjunct faculty at the CAP21 Conservatory.
