Brian Otaño

Brian Otaño grew up in Brooklyn, NY. His plays include The Ocean at Your Door, What We Told the Neighbors, Gone was the Glow and Zero Feet Away. His work has been developed and workshopped with New Dramatists, ArsNova, Atlantic Theater Company, LARK Play Development Center, The Attic Theater Company, Judson Memorial Church and The Glass Bandit Theater Company. Brian’s numerous short plays have been performed at Manhattan Theater Source, Cakeshop and Theatre 3Merry Christmas, Eve (a short film co-written with Alyssa Codamon) was featured as part of the NewFilmmakers series at Anthology Film Archives. Brian is a 2012-2013 New Dramatists Van Lier Fellow and member of ArsNova’s Playgroup. He is also a proud member of Local USA 829. Education: BFA, Dramatic Writing (SUNY Purchase).
