Cheryldee Huddleston

I am a playwright. I won the PEN Award for Drama. I teach writing. 

Cheryldee Huddleston’s play, Who Loves You, Jimmie Orrio? won the PEN USA Award for Drama.  Her new play, Buffalo Bones [or Light Up The Night: A Silent Movie] was recently read at the Dramatists Guild SF Footlights Series. Children of an Idol Moon was produced at the University of Georgia; other work has been produced off Broadway, in Los Angeles, North Carolina, Virginia and Oregon. She has had staged readings in New York City, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and at the Utah Shakespeare Festival. In 2013, she returned to the Bay Area after receiving her Ph.D. in Theatre and teaching playwriting at the University of Georgia. Her work, including Who Loves You, Jimmie Orrio? together with monologues in two anthologies, are published by Dramatic Publishing in Chicago. A former playwriting instructor at the San Francisco Playwrights Foundation, she is currently a graduate writing coach.
