Diana Wyenn is a Los Angeles-based theater artist and arts advocate with a socially-driven and multidisciplinary practice titled "Beyond the Usual." She regularly directs, designs, acts, writes, and consults. Committed to the development of artists and of new works for the stage, she co-founded and facilitates Circle Readings, and serves on the steering committee of Directors Lab West, as well as on the board of the Los Angeles Downtown Arts District Space. Wyenn shared her own story about living with Type 1 Diabetes in a series of video blogs titled "Life By the Numbers" and, as an artistic response to the second closure of the 405 freeway in 2012, spearheaded "ARTmageddon," a two-day citywide art party.
