Jojo Ruf is the Managing Director of The Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics. Prior to that, she worked for the National New Play Network, an alliance of nonprofit theaters across the US that champions the development, production and continued life of new plays, for five years, and served as the Associate Executive Director for two years. She was the founding Executive and Creative Director of The Welders, a DC-based Playwrights’ Collective, and a Coordinating Producer for the 2015 Women’s Voices Theater Festival in Washington, DC. She has worked with Arena Stage, the Kennedy Center, Ford’s Theatre, Theater J, and the Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival. Most recently, her work has taken her to Cuba, China, Chile, Israel, Poland, Peru, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, and throughout the UK, among other places. She is pursuing her MBA at Georgetown University.
