Jose has 45 years of experience in theater and artist management as a General Manager, Tour Manager, Administrator, Producer and Business Manager.  He was a member of El Teatro Campesino and currently sits on their Board of Directors. He also served seven years on the Cornerstone Theater Companys Board of Directors, six of those years as the Chair.  He is currently the Producing Director of the Ojai Playwrights Conference. As owner of Pleiades Management, he manages Mariachi Sol de Mexico and Mariachi Reynas de Los Angeles.
