
Kirk Lynn is a Founder and one of six Co-Producing Artistic Directors for Rude Mechanicals. Kirk has served as playwright on most Rude Mechs performances including: Cherrywood, Lipstick Traces, and Method Gun. His most recent work with the Rudes includes book and lyrics for IÕve Never Been So Happy (music and lyrics by Peter Stopschinski), a Western Operetta about a single mom who ties her only son to the last mountain lion in Texas. IÕve Never Been So Happy is scheduled to premiere at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Los Angeles in Oct. 2011. When not working with the Rudes, Kirk serves on the playwriting faculty at the University of Texas. His solo playwriting includes a new script, The Animals, about a couple who attempts to return to nature within the confines of their own home.
