Hawaiian Language Immersion School Teacher

I was born in Honolulu, Oʻahu and raised in both Kahaluʻu, Oʻahu and Hilo, Hawaiʻi. The Hawaiian language is my first language and continues to be the most dominant language used in my life, with my family, and in my work. I have been fortunate to attend a school that was taught completely in my own mother tongue from the time I was in pre-school until I graduated with my Master's degree at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in Hawaiian Theatre. I have 5 beautiful children who are also raised in the Hawaiian language and culture. I am currently teaching at Ke Kula Kaiapuni o Kahuku in Kahuku, Oʻahu. It is a Hawaiian immersion school with students ranging from the 7th to the 12th grade. Hawaiian Theatre is my passion and continues to be a focal point of learning and teaching.
