
Ryan Dobrin is a New York-based director and the one of the Producing Artistic Leaders of The Movement Theatre Company.
Ryan Dobrin (he/him/his) is a queer, biracial New York-based director and producer interested in the exploration of emotional growth, otherness, human connection, and morality. He is one of the Producing Artistic Leaders of Obie Award-winning The Movement Theatre Company, a member of the Roundabout Directors Group, and the director of Those Guilty Creatures. Previously: Directing Fellow at Playwrights Horizons, the 24 Hour Plays Nationals directing cohort, Directing Fellow at Manhattan Theatre Club, and Artistic Fellow at Ars Nova. Recent directing includes collaborations with the Experimental Theatre Wing, Atlantic Acting School, A4, Playdate Theatre, Ars Nova, Waterwell, and Breaking & Entering Theatre Collective. He has worked on projects as an associate or assistant to directors Tyne Rafaeli, Trip Cullman, Margot Bordelon, Shira Milikowsky, Miranda Haymon, & Seonjae Kim. Ryan graduated from Wesleyan University, where he received both the Rachel Henderson Theater Prize and the Outreach & Community Service Prize in Theater. For more: ryandobrin.com.
