Summer Banks

Summer Banks is a writer, improviser, and theatremaker based in Berlin. A native of the Californian desert, she spent her time at college writing about theater for the Yale Daily News and moved to the German capital after graduating in 2008. She was the Stage Editor for EXBERLINER (Berlin in English) from 2010 through 2013, and served as the English-language blogger for the 50th anniversary of the Berliner Festspiele's Theatertreffen. As part of Berlin's diverse international theater scene, she has done everything from dramaturgy to coordinating flashmobs. She also founded the Berlin English Improv Network and is launching 3/3, a new theater company, at the end of 2016.
