A Craft Workshop: Improvising Your Play with Jeffrey Sweet at The Dramatists Guild

Dramatist Guild of America presented a workshop on improv techniques with Jeffrey Sweet, livestreamed on the global, commons-based peer-produced HowlRound TV network at on Tuesday 23 October at 2:30 p.m. PDT (San Francisco)/ 4:30 p.m. CDT (Chicago) / 5:30 p.m. EDT (New York) / 21:30 GMT / 10:30 p.m. BST (London).

Drawing on techniques that are the basis of such improvisational-based companies as Second City and The Groundlings, playwright and Dramatist Guild of America Council member Jeffrey Sweet introduces tools that can be used to generate new ideas or sharpen existing scenes. In-person attendees will have the option of participating in exercises.
