On the Move and Archipel.eu presented a webinar on Cultural Mobility in European Outermost Regions and Overseas Countries & Territories livestreaming on the global, commons-based peer produced HowlRound TV network on Tuesday 26 April 2022.
As part of its pluriannual programme co-funded by the European Union, On the Move proposes twice a year Mobility Webinars to investigate collectively international artistic and cultural mobility.
For this Webinar, On the Move collaborates with Archipel.eu partners and pilot action leader Institut Français to discuss cultural mobility in European outermost regions (ORs) and overseas countries & territories (OCTs). Addressing the specificities of these European contexts (from operating in isolation to having a low sense of belonging to Europe, from dealing with the effects of the pandemic to reshaping post-colonial relations, etc.), arts professionals are invited to share stakes and trends, identify burning issues and related needs, and imagine new cross-border mobility flows or fairer models.
The online event shares first-hand experiences from arts professionals from or based in Madeira, Greenland and the Dutch Caribbean.
Speakers: Sharelly Emanuelson, Susanne Andreasen, Sara Anjo.
Moderator: Claire Rosslyn Wilson
With a welcoming by Marie Le Sourd, Secretary General of On the Move, and Archipel.eu consortium members:
- Madina Regnault (Institut Français)
- Hélène Morales (OCTA-Association of the Overseas Countries and Territories of the European Union)
- Helena Moniz Sousa (APCA-Atlantic Culture Promotion Agency Madeira)
