Jessica Daugherty is a director and producer of documentary and non-fiction film and video, a writer, and performance artist. A student of revolutionary theatre, working with social documentary filmmaker George Stoney, her work began to focus on radical social change brought through art, experimentation with forms, and creating access. Her work has been published by The Black Theatre Network, the Anamesa Journal, and can be seen on major networks such as Showtime, PBS, NBC, History, and WNET.

Brad Hamers Poet, musician, performance artist, collage artist, loud dreamer. Brad Hamers has had 4 books of poetry published and 13 musical projects released over the past 17 years, both as a solo artist and as a part of the bands: Phlegm, Two Ton Sloth, Dust On Snow, Child of No Nation and Cat Child. Brad has been touring his art throughout the US and Europe for the past two decades. Brad has been performing with The Living Theatre since 2014.

Originally from Taiwan, Dennis Yueh-Yeh Li is a director/playwright, having created productions addressing sexuality, philosophy, humanity, and class, to give his unique perspective on time, space, and power relations. Dennis is an alumnus of Drama League's New York Directing Fellowship, Target Margin Theater's Institute Fellowship, and a member of Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab. www.dennisyuehyehli.com

shAdow, fka Alvin Gaines-Molina, a Los Angeles native, has been a recipient of various prestigious dance scholarships and has danced with numerous dance companies, both as a core member and guest artist. He has performed with musical artists such as Deborah Cox and with Fatboy Slim at the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards.

About SEGAL TALKS:
The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center is proud to announce the new line-up of its new global series, SEGAL TALKS. Since the beginning of March the series featured close to 100 talks with 150 artists from 50 countries. New York, US, and international theatre artists, curators, researchers, and academics will talk daily during the week for one hour with Segal Center’s director, Frank Hentschker, about life and art in the Time of Corona and speak about challenges, sorrows, and hopes for the new Weltzustand— the State of the World. After a break in August the series will now also focus on Theatre, Performance and The Political, highlighting the Segal Center's 2022 New York International Festival of the Arts Project and the Center's Public Park Project. The Segal Center is the only theatre institution in NYC and the US creating new, original, daily content for the global field of theater and performance. The series was conceived, created and curated by Frank Hentschker in March 2020.

SEGAL TALKS are free, open access, without ads will be live-streamed in English from Monday to Friday on HowlRound Theatre Commons and on the Segal Center Facebook. This program is presented in collaboration with HowlRound Theatre Commons, based at Emerson College. All SEGAL TALKS are archived on HowlRound, and on the Segal Center YouTube Channel.
