In May 2025, the International Presenting Commons (IPC) convened to discuss the state of international cultural exchange. Munroe Forbes Shearer reports on the convening, which pursued questions, resources, and actions to continue international work amid Trump administration policy shifts that threaten to disrupt it.

2025 Fornés Institute Symposium

The Latinx Theatre Commons (LTC) hosted the 2025 María Irene Fornés Institute Symposium at the Lewis Arts Complex at Princeton University on Saturday, 22 March 2025. This was a one-day convening of scholars, artists, students, advocates, and others invested in the life, work, and legacy of playwright, director and educator, María Irene Fornés (1930-2018).

2016 Latinx Theatre Commons Pacific Northwest Regional convening

The 2016 Latinx Theatre Commons Pacific Northwest Regional convening brought together over eighty Latinx and allied teatristas or theatremakers to the Glenn Hughes Penthouse Theatre, University of Washington School of Drama in Seattle, Washington to engage in a national dialogue on the building a Latinax Theatre movement in the Pacific Northwest.

This series is a collection of work written in concert with or inspired by conversations at the 2011 convening titled From Scarcity to Abundance: Capturing the Moment for the New Work Sector, which brought over 120 theatremakers to discuss the state of the new work sector, and to attend the #NEWPLAY Festival.
