Abel Salas is a poet and journalist based in Boyle Heights on the East Side of Los Angeles. Founder, editor, and publisher of the arts and community monthly Brooklyn & Boyle, his poetry has appeared in Zyzzyva, Beltway Quarterly, and others. His articles have been featured in The New York Times, The Austin Chronicle, Los Angeles Times Magazine, and LA Weekly.
