Rubén Polendo is Founding Artistic Director of Theater Mitu. With over forty-five company-created works, Mitu has been presented nationally and internationally.  Committed to innovation, the company's home (located in a re-furbished warehouse in Brooklyn) has become a unique gathering place where trans-disciplinary arts practice is interrogated, incubated, and produced. Polendo is a researcher, professor, and Associate Dean for the Tisch Institute of Performing Arts at NYU.
