Sarah Rebell is a lyricist/bookwriter whose musicals include Off the Wall (music by Danny Abosch), which was recently awarded first prize in New Musicals Inc’s 2014 Search For New Musicals; The Awakening (music by Teresa Lotz); and Rose Petals (music by Lizzie Hagstedt). Workshops/Readings: Stages (Off the Wall, upcoming August 2015), New Musicals, Inc. (Off the Wall, 2015), Musical Theater Factory (The Awakening, 2015) Fingerlakes Musical Theatre Festival (Off the Wall, 2014), NYMF (Rose Petals, 2013), NYU (Off the Wall, 2013), and Vassar College (Rose Petals, 2011). Sarah’s work has also been performed at 54 Below, the Berkshire Musical Theater Writers Lab, the Duplex, the Laurie Beechman Theater, and the Metropolitan Room. Her songs have been recorded by Broadway stars, including Melissa Errico, Alexander Gemignani, Rebecca Luker, and Laura Osnes, among others. She is a proud member of The Dramatists Guild, ASCAP, and MTF. She received her MFA from NYU's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program.
