During this special evening, we celebrate the publication of the final issue of PAJ: A Journal of Performance and Art and its co-founder and editor Bonnie Marranca. For more than four decades, PAJ has explored innovative works in theatre, performance art, dance, video, writing, technology, sound, and music through wide-ranging cultural dialogue and historical context. To honor the important contributions of PAJ, the Segal Center hosted conversation with Bonnie Marranca and Segal Center’s director Frank Hentschker.

PAJ: A Journal of Performance and Art explores innovative work in theatre, performance art, dance, video, writing, technology, sound, and music, bringing together all live arts in thoughtful cultural dialogue. Issues include critical essays, artists’ writings, interviews, plays, drawings, and notations, with extended coverage of performance, festivals, and books. Podcasts, video, and audio clips appear on PAJ’s website.

Bonnie Marranca is editor and publisher of PAJ Publications/PAJ: A Journal of Performance and Art. Her books include Timelines: writings and conversations, Performance Histories, Ecologies of Theatre, Theatrewritings, Conversations with Meredith Monk, and Alchemies of Theater: Plays, Performance Scores, Writings by Dick Higgins. Professor emerita of Theatre, The New School, she has received a Fulbright Award and Guggenheim Fellowship.
