Theatre of Yugen presented a full stage presentation of This Lingering Life, written by the New York based Chiori Miyagawa and directed by Yugen's Artistic Director Jubilith Moore at San Francisco's Z Space livestreamed on the global, commons-based peer-produced HowlRound TV network at howlround.tv on Wednesday 11 June at 7 p.m. PDT (San Francisco) / 9 p.m. CDT (Austin) / 10 p.m. EDT (New York).

In This Lingering Life we meet a woman with tragic hair, feudal warriors, a mother whose son was kidnapped, dead lovers who meet across the Milky Way, a boy whose father is an arrow, and so forth. On and on for eons. It’s that kind of a world. It’s that kind of a life. And we all live it. This new tragicomedy is an elegant romp across the borders of time, geography, the world of the living and dead that ponders gods, miracles, and deep, comic, and ugly human emotions found in the theater of life and death.

This Lingering Life is made possible in part by the MAP Fund, a program of Creative Capital supported by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the San Francisco Arts Commission, NEA Art Works, The Wallace Alexander Gerbode Foundation, and the Zellerbach Family Foundation.
