Mix a cocktail. Grab some food. Feel the beat. It's time for Psalm Salons at Studio.
Join us for our September virtual dance party with conversation in collaboration with theatremaker and emcee Psalmayene 24. Our digital salons are an online gathering space to highlight the work of Black creatives, signal boost local and Black-owned businesses, and kick back to live music from DJ Nick tha 1da.
Our upcoming salon features pioneers of hip-hop theatre Will Power, Danny Hoch, and Jonzi D. The panel will discuss the evolution and public embrace of their artform, its power in this moment, and innovating within theatre, as well as their careers and projects.
Psalmayene 24 is the Playwright-in-Residence at Mosaic Theater in Washington, DC through the National Playwright Residency Program, funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Find out more about Psalm's residency experience, and learn about the impact of the program at large.
