How is contemporary acting in Uganda influenced by age-old storytelling traditions and orality? What is the role of the actor in conveying mythological stories and legends? How does this practice translate to performing contemporary work? What are some preparation techniques you use to get into character?

Guest: Aganza Kisaka
Aganza Kisaka is an award-winning actress and poet. Her work intersects acting, producing, writing and directing for stage and film. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from New York University with a concentration in Psychology and went on to a complete a master’s in education with Unicaf University where her research focused on the availability and adequacy of performing arts policies for tertiary education in Uganda.
