Bridge Between Realities

In this mini-series, co-directors Tara Khozein (US/HU) and Martin Boross (HU/US) travel to New Mexico, Pennsylvania, and Maine, to lead devised multidisciplinary projects with local artists. The projects aimed to test the post-dramatic creation methods and guidelines developed over the last decade at Hungarian contemporary theatre collective STEREO AKT, where Martin served as the founding artistic director.

These six conversations chronicle their work with local theatre artists at each location, centering on a few theatrical forms and models for creating work: immersive, site-specific, community-driven, devised, co-directed, and ensemble theatre.

How might we share theatrical research across cultural boundaries? This project proposes that we build work together, as a way of sharing and testing our tools: to build bridges between realities.
