Villa Albertine presented the professional symposium Reciprocities: Making and Supporting Dance between France and the United States which livestreamed on the global, commons-based, peer produced HowlRound TV network. This two-day event features artists' dialogues as well as roundtables with experts on topics such as choreographing residencies, pedagogy as performance, acts of transmission, and curatorial ecologies.

Audiences are not “back” to pre-pandemic levels, and there may be a variety of compounding reasons why. ART/New York convened a panel of marketing specialists with an array of perspectives to talk about what’s working, what’s not, and what new strategies we might try in order to best reach and engage our audiences.

Far from being anonymous evaluators sitting behind a grant portal, grantmakers have an invaluable perspective regarding emergent trends, innovative solutions, and field-wide stumbling blocks. This panel, moderated by ART/New York co-executive director Talia Corren, assembles leading New York theatre funders to pull back the curtain on the peer-to-peer conversations happening in grantmaking circles.

Watch Me Work is a communal work session for anyone eager to nurture and sustain their creative process. Facilitated by Public Theater Playwright-in-Residence Suzan-Lori Parks and the New Work Development department, Watch Me Work takes place via Zoom sessions and HowlRound livestreams that you can join at home, at school, or in a coffee shop from anywhere in the world!

In this conversation with Native American screenwriters on the importance of seeing Indigenous narratives on screen, the panelists explored how these narratives affect Native and non-Native communities today and the possible steps to educate, decolonize, and make changes using an Indigenous lens.

Moderated by director and festival curator Carlyle Brown, this conversation was a post-show discussion after a performance of Zainabu Jallo's play We Take Care of Our Own, a tale of migration and aging in the diaspora.

For this fourth Cultural Mobility Webinar, On the Move explored the positive and negative impacts of international cultural mobility on the mental health and well-being of artists and culture professionals. Many studies and cultural initiatives at local, national, or European levels have investigated the various contributions of arts and culture to the well-being and good health, including mental health, of the population.
