Robert Hedley and Harriet Power—who together have championed, developed, produced, and directed scores of new plays—recently returned from a five-month research trip to London with some surprising answers. They present aspects of their findings (featured in December’s issue of American Theatre), accompanied by British playwrights Torben Betts and Anthony Weigh, in a lively interchange with New Dramatists resident playwrights and others devoted to the vitality of new play production in the US.
