Middle Eastern North African Theatre Makers Alliance presents their Fall Convening livestreaming on the global, commons-based, peer-produced HowlRound TV network at howlround.tv on Saturday 6 November and Sunday 7 November 2021.
MENATMA, the Middle East North African Theatre Makers Alliance, hold its virtual fall convening November 5, 6, and 7, 2021. Sponsored by the Rutherford Initiative, the University of Oregon, Golden Thread Productions, Noor Theatre, and Art2Action Inc, this event virtually connects MENA/SWANA theatremakers from coast to coast. In addition to artistic and academic panels, there will be virtual gatherings, an open mic event for artists to share their current work, and opportunities to meet and network with theatre professionals.

A conversation with five outstanding and groundbreaking playwrights whose works span genres and styles, and will be produced in the coming season. Mona Mansour, Heather Raffo, Betty Shamieh and Sanaz Toossi will talk about inspiration, collaboration, adaptation, representation, politics, controversy, and community—and about their current projects for stage and screen. Moderated by Catherine Coray.
