South Coast Repertory presents its annual Playwrights Panel with the 2020 PPF playwrights virtually on the global, commons-based, peer-produced HowlRound TV network at howlround.tv on Thursday 23 April 2020 at 4:00 p.m. PDT (San Francisco, UTC-7) / 6:00 p.m. CDT (Chicago, UTC-5) / 7:00 p.m. EDT (New York, UTC-4).

Despite the cancelation of this year’s Pacific Playwrights Festival, South Coast Repertory will host its annual Playwrights Panel with the 2020 PPF playwrights virtually.

Please join us for a conversation with Christie Baugher (The Fitzgeralds of St. Paul), Kate Hamill (The Scarlet Letter), Anchuli Felicia King (Golden Shield), Shayan Lotfi (Park-e Laleh), Caroline V. McGraw (I Get Restless), Tony Meneses (El Borracho) and Erika Sheffer (Vladimir), moderated by SCR Associate Artistic Director and PPF Festival Co-Director John Glore. Glore and the playwrights will discuss a variety of topics, including the points of inspiration behind each play (no previous knowledge of the plays required!), how each piece responds to the world today and insights into playwriting in today’s rapidly changing—and increasingly virtual—theatrical landscape.

Ticket reservations are required to join via Zoom: https://www.scr.org/calendar/view?id=12004
