Introducing Julia Schachnik, Creative Producer!

We are thrilled to welcome Julia Schachnik (she/her/hers) to the HowlRound team as our new creative producer! Julia will hold primary responsibility for producing HowlRound's in-person and virtual events and programs, including the National Playwright Residency Program and convenings. She will work in partnership with the Latinx Theatre Commons (LTC) producer to support the efforts of the LTC.

Introducing our new HowlRound Creative Producer, Julia Schachnik

Julia is a community builder, producer, and joy seeker. She comes to HowlRound after five years at the American Repertory Theater at Harvard University, where she worked with community, staff, and supporters to build interdependent networks of learning and connection through lenses of anti-racism and anti-oppression. She previously served as the first director of people and culture at Brain Arts Organization, an arts advocacy nonprofit based in Dorchester, a neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. Julia holds a BA in Digital Justice from New York University, where she studied how progressive social movements can be generated and supported through digital communications.

Julia comes from a Brazilian performing arts family and is dedicated to producing the conditions that allow artists from historically excluded communities to thrive.
