Jonathan is a playwright and theatremaker based in Dallas, Texas. Jonathan’s plays include My Tidy List of TerrorsMississippi Goddamnn*g*erb*tch, homeschooled, and Our Lady of South Oak Cliff: The Virgin Shenequa. Jonathan's plays have been produced or developed by PlayPenn, The Black and Latino Playwrights Conference, South Dallas Cultural Center, TeCo Theatrical Productions, African American Repertory Theater, Nouveau 47, Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture, CrossOver Arts Theater and Soul Rep. Jonathan is a proud recipient of the Diaspora Performing Arts Commission from the South Dallas Cultural Center, the TACA Donna Wilhelm Family New Works Fund and an Artistic Innovations Grant from the Mid-America Arts Alliance. Jonathan is an inaugural member of the Dallas Playwrights Workshop at the Dallas Theater Center. Upcoming projects include, Takin’ it to the Roots, an exciting collaboration with choreographer, Michelle Gibson. Takin’ it to the Roots is a recipient of a NPN Creation Fund. And his new play Mississippi Goddamn opens at the South Dallas Cultural Center in February 2015.
