CityWrights Symposium for Playwrights at City Theatre

Produced With
Friday 15 June and Saturday 16 June 2012

City Theatre presented the CityWrights Symposium for Playwrights livestreamed on the global, commons-based peer-produced HowlRound TV network at howlround.tv on Friday 15 June and Saturday 16 June 2012.

City Theatre’s CityWrights is the second annual professional symposium held during its Summer Shorts Festival in June. It is the only dedicated symposium in the region that brings together both national and local playwrights with master playwrights as well as agents, publishers, actors, directors, technology experts, and artistic and business leaders working in the national theatre community. CityWrights goes to the heart of a playwright's craft by offering master classes and workshops, readings and dialogue that concentrate on craft, technique, and creative development. Also, panels and forums are held to inform and explore the artistic, professional, and technological developments impacting the way playwrights are working today.

The following sessions were livestreamed on HowlRound TV at howlround.tv. To participate in online discussion with the panelists and attendees, put the hashtag "#howlround" in your Twitter messages to get seen.
