Ford Foundation’s Art of Change initiative livestreamed an inter-generational workshop on art and social engagement Tuesday 6 January 2016. In Twitter, use #ArtOfChange and follow @HowlRoundTV.

Join Carrie Mae Weems, Rick Lowe, Theater Gates, Suzanne Lacy, Amalia Mesa-Bains, and other artist-activists for a daylong, inter-generational workshop on art and social engagement.

Senior leaders in the field of art and social action will make extended presentations about their approach to this work, and the challenges they have faced in their practice. Ten younger artists will make briefer presentations about their approaches and current projects. This will be followed by a facilitated dialogue on common themes and differences in approach as well as current and future opportunities in this field of practice.
