The Segal Center brings together several archivists and librarians from across the city to talk about their collections, the archiving process, and why it is important for scholars and artists alike to engage directly with theatre's material past.

The 2025 Symposium offered a series of plenary readings from Fornés in Context in tandem with a constellation of hosted breakout conversations engaging questions of context, legacy, and engagement around Fornés’s work. 

As we face an uncertain world with stark divisions and ruptures, what is our role as artists, educators, and scholars working with and across our multiple communities?

The day-long conference includes readings of three of his works from the last three decades, a panel discussion with Wangh's colleagues, theatre practitioners and scholars, and a conversation with Wangh personally, followed by a reception.

Lan Dinh, Chaiya Vong, and Catzie Vilayphonh join Chaz T. Martin (dramaturg) and Saymoukda in a conversation about the significance of their collaboration, what it’s aiming to foster, and the lasting impact they anticipate for Philadelphia’s Southeast Asian communities.

The Segal Center presents a reading of Bond’s unproduced final play, The Shoe Thief, presented in collaboration with Irondale Ensemble Project.

What Do the Women Say? celebrates International Women’s Day on 8 March 2025, with a guided meditation and question and answer session led by Ashira Darwish, a Palestinian journalist, therapist, and activist featured in the powerful film Where Olive Trees Weep.
