In its 35th year, Theatre of Yugen presented the world premiere of Emmett Till, a river, an oratorio performance of a mother’s grief and search for truth. The pre-show panel discussion, featuring renowned artists and activists, looks at why art counts, and the role of the performing arts in advancing social justice causes.
