Join us for a conversation with disabled and Deaf theatre-makers. The artists will share insights into their creative processes and collectively explore the integral role embodied difference plays in shaping contemporary theatre aesthetics. This event promises to deepen our understanding of how the lived experiences of disabled and Deaf artists are redefining the landscape of the performing arts. Reception to follow.
Panelists include Garrett Zuercher (Deaf Broadway), Jessica Vanek and Margaret Hall (both from Autistic Theatre Makers Alliance), Gregg Mozgala (The Apothetae) Alyssa Kitt Hanley (Independent Burlesque Artist), Kayla Hamilton (Circle O), Katie Butler (Carnegie Mellon University), and Kaite O’Reilly (playwright).
The panel follows a reading of Katie O'Reilly's work as a part of the Segal Center World Voices Festival.
