To participate on Twitter, direct your questions to @PTC_Playwrights or use #ptcplays. You can also use the hashtag #howlround to follow the conversation.

PTC’s Interactive Storytelling: Video Games and Theatre is an extension of the conversations that have been taking place in our theatre communities around interactivity and what it means for aesthetics, our stories, and the audience. To us, it seemed that this conversation was also taking place in the game design community and we wanted to sit down with game creators to discuss the issue.

In the process, we discovered that game and theatre creators share many commonalities. In the words of one speaker Amanda Doiron, “We aim to build experiences—not just a story.” Playwrights Theatre Centre's Dramaturg Kathleen Flaherty will by joined by game industry experts Athomas Goldberg (EA, Microsoft), Amanda Doiron (Microsoft’s Black Tusk Studios, Radical), and Alexandre Mandryka (Ubisoft, Relic Entertainment) for a discussion on the limits and the limitless possibilities of interactive storytelling.

This event will involve presentation, case studies, and open discussion which invites audience members to share experience and thoughts from their own work.
