About Fresh Ink

Fresh Ink Theatre provides an avenue for the development of new work on the Boston small theater scene in a collaborative, playwright-centered manner. Fresh Ink was born in the summer of 2011 and debuted at the Factory Theatre the following December with the nearly sold-out run of Priscilla Dreams the Answer by Walt McGough. In the spring of 2012, Fresh Ink presented its second show, Trog and Clay: An Imagined History of the Electric Chair by Michael Vukadinovich at the Factory Theatre. Throughout the summer and fall of 2012, Fresh Ink presented Ink Spots, free staged readings of five local pieces, including The Embryos, Fire On Earth, and Girls' Sports. The Embryos and Fire on Earth enjoyed successful runs at the Factory Theatre during the winter of 2012 as part of Fresh Ink’s second season. Fresh Ink Theatre Company is committed to developing new work with emerging theater artists in the New England area. We seek to empower writers with the tools to craft plays that showcase their creative vision, and we challenge the Boston community to engage in the evolution of new work as it transforms from first draft to first production, and beyond. We value artistic excellence, institutional transparency, community involvement and ongoing collaboration. Fresh Ink is: Louise Hamill, Artistic Director; Jessie Baxter, Literary Director; Lyndsay Allyn Cox, Managing Director; Amanda Sheehan, Marketing Manager; Kaitee Tredway, Production Manager

About Interim Writers

Interim Writers is a collective dedicated to the fostering and development of Boston Playwrights. To this end, we hold monthly public readings and have initiated The Accomplice Writing Group, which together empower writers to present their work in any stage of development in order to obtain feedback and simply to hear their ideas out loud. IW is a welcoming resource not only for Boston Playwrights to have their plays workshopped in a supportive and constructive environment, but also for the Boston theatre community at large to have a single location to discover new and exciting voices.
