Paving the Way: A Conversation with Leaders of Color in the Arts
ArtsBoston presented Paving the Way: A Conversation with Leaders of Color in the Arts livestreaming on the global, commons-based peer-produced HowlRound TV network at howlround.tv on Tuesday 12 December 2017 at 6 p.m. EST (Boston) / 5 p.m. CST (Chicago) / 3 p.m. PST (San Francisco).
With 1,500 arts and culture organizations in the city of Boston alone, the number of people of color leading these organizations is nowhere near as reflective of the 53% people of color living in the city. Join the Network for Arts Administrators of Color as we hear from arts leaders who have been paving their own way toward inclusion in the city and beyond. Learn about the path they took to get to this point in their career, how they have managed to “climb the ladder,” and what leadership feels like in a richly artistic yet deeply divided city.
